Simon kaylor is a saxophonist based in Leeds, UK. He plays Tenor, Alto, Soprano and Baritone Saxophones and is quickly building a strong musical reputation, performing all over the UK and abroad..

Simon is travelling to Norway in the summer to tour with the experimental jazz trio, Egg3. The group will be recording an album which will be released by a Norwegian Label. Simon has just finished recording with the exciting new jazz group, IDST. This album will be available by the end of the year. IDST have been announced as winners of the 'Jazz Services - Promoters' Choice Award 2008'. This will see the group performing at London, Manchester and Cheltenham Jazz Festivals as well as embarking on a UK tour in 2009. In 2005 spent some time in Boston, USA, where he was studying intensively with saxophone legend, Jerry Bergonzi. Whilst in Boston, simon bought a new tenor sax from Les Arbuckle www.saxoasis.com - a 1938 Conn 10m. Les is a great guy and did an amazing job of overhauling the horn and fitting oversized brass resonators. If you're looking for a great 10m at a good price, call Les.
